Anthony, also a Franciscan friar, was known as a powerful preacher. His preaching began when there was a misunderstanding about who should deliver a sermon at an event. Despite having no experience, Anthony was asked to speak. He left a deep impression on his audience; and many audiences thereafter.

Saint Anthony, intercede to the Holy Ghost that I may speak my words succinctly and well, and that I may find what I lose, especially if it’s hidden or just out of my reach.

I took this statue outside St. Leonard’s church in the Northend of Boston during my art residency there in 2022.

These flowers were outside the church.
