Patronage Music, Poetry, & Expressing Boundaries
Feast Day November 22
Cecilia never played an instrument, but she became known as a patroness of music and musicians when she sang and praised God on her wedding day. Forced into marriage, she convinced her husband to be baptized and to respect her vow of virginity. She spread the gospel during the Roman persecution of Christians and was martyred.
Small Snippet
Saint Cecilia, intercede to the Holy Ghost that I may be open my ears to experiencing the profound beauty of music and poetry around me.

Artistic Process
Cecilia is a saint I hold close to my heart. I got her medal from the Vatican for my own spiritual closeness to her.

Ragwort & Lily
My first attempt
This design was made before I got a macro lens. It’s the same medal, but the camera couldn’t take a high enough resolution photo.
Lots of flowers from my mom’s garden.
