Faustina was a Sister of Mercy. One day, a beggar rang the bell at the convent. She came out and generously handed the man soup. As he walked away, he transformed into Jesus before her very eyes. Faustina had many mystical visions and encounters throughout her life, including the Divine Mercy image. She instructed the painter to create the image based off her experience.
Small Snippet
Saint Faustina, intercede to the Holy Ghost that I don't let shame hinder me from asking for forgiveness, and for compassion to forgive when I don’t want to.

Photo
I took photos of these Polish Geranium flowers in my mom's garden. You can even see the water on the peddles. I got these shots the day after a rainfall.
Geranium Flowers
This is the national flower of Poland so I thought it would be fitting to add to Faustina, as she is a Polish saint.
Poppies are also abundant in Poland, so even more of a reason to have them represent the Divine Mercy that Sr. Faustina believed God has for each one of us.
