Fun Fact
Frédéric was a devout husband and father. Throughout his marriage to his wife, Amélie Soulacroix, he would buy her flowers every twenty-third day of every month. His daughter Marie was the greatest blessing in his life.
Frédéric founded the St. Vincent De Paul Society, which serves millions of people.
Prayer
Blessed Frédéric, intercede to the Holy Ghost that I may serve the most vulnerable of society in the best way that I can with the gifts that God has given me.
Amen.

Bust of Frédéric Ozanam
In my search for images of him I found this bust made by Schaefer Frères, no later than 1913.
Orange Lilies
I felt that orange lilies could best represent his love for his wife. These lilies have a decorative flourishing to them. Something more than your standard lily. I felt this was perfect for the extra love he showed his wife by buying her flowers every month to honor their anniversary.
Mandevilla Flower
Since this flower is native to Argentina, it really has nothing to do with a french writer like Frédéric. However, I felt the shape of these flowers, along with the colors truly shine his personality.
Frédéric was a believer in God’s timing. When he prayed before meeting his wife, he prayed for the ability to become the man she deserved. This flowers represent that vulnerability, and self awareness. He wanted Amélie to have the best before he even met her.
