Fr. Francis met a deaf man who desired to become closer to God. Francis accommodated the man and created a sign language with him.

He was also a remarkably gifted author and writer, even becoming a Doctor of the Church.

Prayer

Saint Francis, intercede to the Holy Ghost that I may be understanding, accommodating and gentle with people who experience deafness.
