Joseph was the foster father of Jesus and raised him through childhood. Joseph fed him, taught him morals, and changed his diapers. When baby Jesus awoke crying during the middle of the night, Joseph woke up to rock him back to sleep while Mary snoozed.

Biography
Little is known of St. Joseph. I give you the best that I can find, but ultimately this is more of speculation than anything else.
